    • One of the jobs I had pursued I was told I was not the best candidate for it. However they did hire me. A few years later (after I made them a few million)  that while I was last choice I was the best choice after all.

So I don’t buy into whether “they” pick me as their first choice. I just give it my all and do my best.

Now I’m at Coldwater Creek and they hired me knowing I didn’t have women’s clothing background. I took my little store from last place in the company to being in the topp 100 in 9 months.

Do what you can and don’t listen or buy into the limits everyone else sets.

    • I don’t care which choice I was as long as they gave me a job.

    • I was being trained for a position by the person retiring, and they gave the position to someone who had been there longer. And she sucked at it and it was obvious to everyone except her. That’s okay. Water under the bridge as far as I’m concerned. Sometimes just being in a place longer doesn’t make the person more qualified than the one with more experience overall.
