What are your hobbies? What are you interested in as a new hobby?
For the past 6 years rock climbing and scuba diving were my main hobbies and passions. Lately health issues prevent me from climbing and the sea being quite far away, gardening and beekeeping are my new passions. I discovered permaculture last weekend and I think this is fascinating.
Gardening has been my passion for many years, in particular flowers. This year, I’m also growing veggies and cantaloupes. Crocheting is another, I’m presently making washcloths and facecloths. Reading has been a hobby since childhood. Shopping, I simply love! Cardmaking allows me to create on another level and cooking is a new hobby that I truly enjoy.
Sewing is a past hobby that I will bring back to life.
Gardening is also a love of mine, particularly interesting shrubs, plants, perennials. Hub and I are avid bird-watchers, it is really exciting to witness young fledglings. In the past, I loved to cross country ski, but living in PA makes that hard. We also like to hike when we are able to. Later this year,(when the weather cools down), I am going to try my hand at terrariums again, particularly the round, bottle-neck type. We are also wine enthusiasts, our last trip to the Finger Lakes is this year, so next year it will be a new destination.
Mavikaya, the rock climbing sounds intriguing..what is permaculture?
Butterflyrose, I always wanted to crochet, maybe you can give me some hints.
I’ve always loved gardening but have little time right now for it. I can’t really think of anything I’d consider a hobby. I like hiking a lot and do it whenever I can. I really love to cook but wouldn’t consider it a hobby either. Hmmmm...... I think I need to start exploring some hobbies.
I have too many hobbies to count. Reading, gardening, needlework and baking to name a very few.
Since I no longer cook professionally,I’m thinking about taking it up as a hobby again. Cooking might be fun again.
