I loved the swings, slides, and playing with my dolls and jacks.
I loved the swings.
Swings and the hula hoop. The shoop shoop kind!!!
I loved the swings, hula hoop, my dolls, hop scotch, paper dolls, my dogs, suzy bake oven, dancing lessons, swimming
Riding bikes...that was the best as we girls had banana seat bikes and would form long lines and ride up and down one way streets...also, hula hoop, jump rope, hop scotch, card games, Barbie dolls, playing school, water balloon wars, chasing the boys..hee hee...we had a very active neighborhood!
So sad that many kids today lock themselves in the house and turn their brains to mush with computers, cell phones, video games!
Playing house, making mud pies, jump roping, riding my bike, playing dress up and using my moms makeup lol.
i loved everything outdoors including the rain, mud, puddles, play areas for children and anything i could ride on that went around in circles. i use to try and swing high enough to touch the sky, the slides had to be very high. i loved forts that were built especially for running around and playing in. bike riding. in the house we would turn a room into a place to hide. 2 or 4 kitchen chairs with a bed sheet draped over it. our secret hiding place. i loved to jump over things and at school during recess we would group skip. play four square, hop scotch, and 6 square. in our area we would play tiggey on house frames. missed a wood plank and you fell over. one learnt very quickly how to not fall. hide and seek at night in stinky grass. etc etc etc there is still very much a part of me that enjoys those things even today—D
Thank you for your comments.
Marya - yes, it’s sad that the kids are on their technology stuff instead of playing outside.
Nita - you summed it up!
We use to play games with a big medicine ball...I vaguely remember the games but do remember the fun...I also use to love making doll clothes for my little barbies...there was so much to do to have fun...now it’s so different...:( I hate it when I hear someone say “I’m bored“.
