What recipe do you use that calls for basil? I just picked some basil and dried it. Need ideas!
I make pommodoro sauce and throw in with Angel hair pasta..... my favorite thing ever!
I also use basil in a pasta salad (hmmmm a theme)with black olives, cubed cheese, italian dressing and mayo. Yummmmm

I used it when I make spaghetti sauce, pasta sauce of any sort. Use if fresh for pesto. Oh the possibilities are endless.

I throw it in just about anything; scrambled eggs, salad dressing, pasta, soups, stir fry - I love the taste of basil.
You can chop some garlic and fresh ginger, add lime juice, soy sauce and a little sesame oil for an asian inspired salad dressing. I use Thai basil for that usually but any basil would do.
I wouldn’t dry it...i’d use it in a caprese salad! I LOVE biting into fresh basil drenched in balsamic dressing that’s sharing my fork with a hunk of fresh mozzarella cheese!!! As a matter of fact, that’s what i had for dinner tonight!
Yes pesto sauce is great and made with fresh basil. It is easy to make and can be eaten on pasta alone or what I do with it is mix it in with a jar of prego sauce. My dgt loves it this way
