I’m going to Washington D.C. to witness the Inauguration of President-Elect Barack Obama, and Vice President Joe Biden January 20. Is anyone else going?
I was blessed to receive two tickets. Hopefully I will get close. Yes, I plan to take a lot of pictures!!!
Yes. I’m going, not sure how close I’m going to get but I’ll be there. BTW my birthday is monday, Jan. 19. I have been blessed to give myself some of the most memorable birthday presents.

My church is taking the church bus down. But I’m not able to go

Don’t despair, I’m taking the day off anyway to watch all of the coverage live on tv.

beachbum, I had to request tickets on my congress persons’ web site. Yes, I guess it was like a lottery. I booked my hotel the day Obama won the election. The next day room were booked or the price went up to $600. The only setback was my hotel is 70 miles from DC. We will have to catch the Metro rail into the city.

They were giving away 200,000 tickets.....they have beefed up security so no one will try to sell the tickets.
I so wish I could go, but I will have to enjoy it from the comfort of my own home.
I can’t wait!

They were interviewing people who were renting the homes out for $2000.00 a night and that was cheap compared to some of the hotels around there. One was $15,000.00 a NIGHT!

Wow!!! I’m am so excited for those who are going. Whoever is taking the metro into DC...that is probably the best way due to parking and such. Allow plenty of time to get parking at the metro stop you are planning to catch.
