    • If I’m going to read a romance novel, it better have a happy ending, even if they die tragicly in each others arms.  They have to get together at the end.

    • @ Tuliplady,   that’s what I’m thinking too.  It’s kind of getting both....happy ending but a good cry at the same time.  But I’m thinking not quite so tragic, but “allowing one to let go, pass away” while being held in the arms of the other.

    • I don’t like tragic endings if I’m reading a romance. They are my mindless escape so I prefer easy reads with happy endings.

    • i like either endings though i have not read a good romance for a very long time.  i find romance now too predictable, too uninteresting.  the romances of old are not like today.  today romance books i read quickly and do not bother to ever read again and would probably throw it.  romances of old i can read many times over and would probably recommend to my daughter as an inbetween read

    • Always like a happy ending - except my favorite movie of all time is THE WAY WE WERE and the first 10 times I saw it - LOL  I cried at the end the way she ran her fingers thru his hair and you saw how much they will always love each other even though they were not meant to be together........ Ironically Ive been happily single my whole life-so I leave the mushy romance to the movie/book industries...
