Q & A

I’m starting my new years list early, and one thing that I will include on this list is to volunteer. Anyone volunteer, if so what organization do you volunteer for?

    • My husband and I donate money to the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, and we help feed and clothe the people during the winter holidays.

    • I do not have an extra minute in my day to volunteer, but we do give to United Way weekly, and lots of donations to the NationalKidney Foundation.

    • I just started volunteering at my church in the Children’s Church ministry.  I also plan to be active in my son’s PTA at school and help out with their activities like Bingo Night.

    • I volunteer at the animal shelter and we‘re a foster family which means we take an cat in for two weeks until a vet can make sure it’s cleared for adaption. I also donate to the domestic violence shelters here. People need so much when starting life over. and I help out at local libraries by holding my companies annual Author’s Showcase. I think it’s important to connect with ones community and my daughters volunteer too. My oldest takes the girls to the animal shelter. A form of theraphy for the girls being their father keeps their animals from them as a way of controling them to see him. They miss their pets and the judge won’t force him to give us the animals. Where we have settled doesn’t allow pets but they will allow us to be a foster pet family so the shelter makes the girls happy and they feel goods about doing something for the animals.
