    • i love gift cards.  yes very practical, saves on time if you are rushed off your feet.  takes the guess work out of trying to find that special gift. for some it may appear impersonal but there are those that are simply hard to buy gifts for because quite simply they have it all.  personally i prefer gift cards. i buy what i really want and i do not have to return gifts to the store they came from..i feel terrible when i do that.estaticheart

    • If you don’t know what the person likes/wants, its a great choice. I like getting them.

    • I would rather  choose a personal gift.  BUT, I have these daughters, and this husband and they all make bundles more money than I do and if they want something, they go out and buy it-- usually in Novemeber.  Very frustrating when they buy that thing that I'd decided to get them for Christmas!!! So I decided this year the whole clan gets give cards to the chain where I work. That way whether it's shotgun shells or a kitchen faucet or dogfood that they want, they can get it.  And I'll just get very, very creative with the wrapping.

    • I prefer receiving gift cards unless you buy exactly whati want/need. Therefore if I don’t get specifics from family then they receive a gift card.

There was one Christmas that I didn’t know what to get my SS Garrett so I made a certificate that stated he got a $$ value towards a trip of his choice. He likes to travel so I thought this would be fun for him. He loved it!

    • I love receiving gift cards and I give them too. Unless you know exactly what they want, gift cards are perfect.

    • Gift cards are definitely easier, unless the person has a specific hobby or interest.  My mom loves horses and rode for many years, so I always include something of interest regarding horses with her gift basket.happy

    • I love gift cards - this way I would be getting something I need.  I even would love a gift card to Bristol Farms- its a high end grocery store I rarely go to, but certainly would if I had a card- and of course food is something I will always need!  I have 2 walk in closets full of clothes some still have on tags and I have a storage Im renting full OF  things I dont need/use/really what I need to do is have an open house at my storage!
