Not sure if this question has been posted..in Pennsylvania, we must now show photo ID when voting, is that implemented in your state? What are your thoughts?
I’ve always remembered showing my ID when I sign in to vote. I don’t have a problem with it. I wouldn’t want someone going to the polling place and signing in as “me” and voting on my behalf.
I believe TN does require Photo ID for voting.
I think it should just be a given that you have photo to vote. But I also think we shouldn’t be using our resources to make it such a big deal. If we are going to use valuable resources lets figure out a way to have secure online voting.
Why we can do much else online (renew drivers license, renew my cos license, file income tax) why not vote too??????

We’ve had to show a photo ID here for several years. I agree with Cynthia and Vikki on this one.
I do have an issue with how strict it is. At our polling place there are about 150 registered voters and the voting board knows each and every one of us personally. And yet we still have to show our ID. Seems like that’s taking it to extremes.
Still, I’d rather show my ID than not have that rule in place.
