    • I find background music in stores soothing and I especially love it when I recognize the songs. I dislike listening to music when I’m put on hold. I tend to get impatient that it took forever to speak to a rep, so I’d rather it be silent then have to hear music.

    • Depends on where I am shopping....when hub and I take a day trip to a small town and there are little stores, they always play such wonderful classical music, especially at Christmas.

When I go to the mall, it is the most annoying blend of repetition, that I want to run as fast as I can out of there.ohhhh

    • I don’t mind as long as the music is something that appeals to all age ranges. The other day I was in Sports Authority and couldn’t stand being in there more than a few minutes. The music they had playing, and it was really loud, was kind of a heavy metal rock with a lot of shouting. It was clearly on for the enjoyment of the young employees but not for the middle aged customers.

Being on hold, I don’t mind music. It helps me to know I haven’t been disconnectedestatic
