    • Maybe they don’t like being alone.  I have a friend who stays married to an abusive alcoholic because “it’s better than being alone.”   Some people are scared of being alone.

    • Most the of the time people who go from one relationship to another are NOT happy within themselves.  They are searching for something that they can’t find in other people but they do not realize that.  When my sister got divorced after almost being married 30 years (she married at age 18).....she had no desire to date or find anyone to be with for sure the first five years of being divorced.  She didn’t even date.  She stated that she had to learn to be happy being by herself first.  When she was able to be happy by herself she then started dating but still has not remarried or really dating anyone now and it’s been over 10 years.
If you are happy by yourself and then you find someone...they add to that happiness you already have.  Thinking that finding someone is going to make you happy and solve your problems is basically in fairy tales.  True happiness is within ourselves.

    • I would say its because they think they can’t make it on their own, financially.
