    • This is a good question for Sandy Dumont the Image Architect...she is the expert here at Fab40 on color, texture and what is considered right or wrong to wear.

I don’t worry about colors when it comes to season...I wear what I like to wear...even if it is all white in the dead of winter.  If it looks good and the fabrics are not too summery...then I believe it works.  There’s nothing more beautiful than an outfit in winter white, cashmere sweater and wool skirt or pants...yummy!

But Steph and chocolatier are also right, there is nothing like the autumn colors of Fall...but now that I am older...I have to be very careful wearing them...they drag me down...they make me look frumpy...can’t have frumpy!

    • Jamie Lee Curtis swears all you need in your wardrobe is black and white.  Great all year long and minimized the amount of clothes you need.

    • Fall is my favorite season and traditional fall colors are:
black, pumpkin, rust, maroon, dark green, dark purple, etc. - colors of that spectrum.

However, you can really make any color work for you - it’s how you pair it. If you are fond of pastels, you could easily wear a pastel sweater with either charcoal grey trousers or black trousers.

Specifically for Fall 2008, shades of purple is the hot color of the moment. If you‘re afraid to commit to a large item in this color, try small ticket items like mittens, gloves, scarves, berets, etc. in the shade until you see if you really like it or not.

Also, generally-speaking, jewel toned colors are always stylish for fall. (emerald green, topaz brown/bronze, amethyst purple)
