    • For many years starting from the time I was a teen, there was always something that I would help out at or contribute to.

Volunteering at hospitals, contributing money and clothing, helping elderly people through a program, finding good homes for strays..hopefully I will get a chance to help at a soup kitchen at some point.

    • Yes....always!
I volunteer at a Christmas Bash at church that helps the needy. I’m involved in a “homeless ministry“...not just at Christmas but all the time.  And I put a box together for the Operation Christmas Child that is under the direction of Franklin Graham Ministries. But it’s really not about WHAT I DO....I don’t like to toot my own horn.  It’s just all about everyone trying to help SOMEONE.  We can’t save the world but we can all do something.

    • You are right, sometimes it can be just a smile that embraces another human being.  I believe what a person does in any way, helps not only another, but gives the person extending a hand a good feeling of brotherly love.

    • I contributed to Operation Christmas Child, various food drives at my church and my son’s school, contribute to a homeless shelter in DC, and bought a Christmas present for a person in need from the Angel Tree at church.

    • I don’t do anything more at Christmas than I do the rest of the year.

One thing I do try to do especially at Christmas time when I’m in the stores is SMILE and be FRIENDLY and COURTEOUS.  It’s surprising how little of that you see in the stores at Christmas time.

    • Yes, at our school we have a holiday assistance program. Warm clothing, some food, and Christmas gifts are donated to families in need.

    • I can totally relate to the smile, T...when I am out and observing people, it amazes me how so many just look the other way when someone extends a smile or even a helping hand.

Thankfully, there are still many loving and courteous people in the world.estatic
