Q & A

I hurt all over, and have for months. At first I blamed it on different things, wearing a air boot , ankle surgery, ect. Then I thought it was due to all the babies I’m caring for, lifting, changing clothes, diapers,  ect  but my body should be used to that after doing it 4 months, right? Do you ladies over 40 have all over pain? Back. Neck. Just all over. I’m beginning to wonder if it is something more....

    • Dianne,

I’m sorry to hear you are in pain.  I had a neck issue that started in August and lasted for about 2 months.  It eventually went away on it’s own thankfully.  But other than that, I don’t have any issues.  I would suggest seeing a doctor to be on the safe side.  I hope it’s nothing serious.

    • Yes.  I hurt.  A couple years ago, I sounded just like you MzD.  Everything hurt no matter what I did.

Last winter when I started my new job, I knew that to survive it, I’d have to eat right and keep moving.  And I’ve been doig both and I hurt a lot less than I used to.  There are still days though that I just ache.

    • Thanks Nita, I am trying to eat better, but only have 5 hours to sleep between jobs.

Thanks Neicy and Tulip, at least I know I’m not the only one, though I wish no one had to be in pain all the time like this. I’m sure me being out of shape has a lot to do with it.

    • Start a journal of your pain...log every episode of pain, starting from morning to night.  I did that a while back and that helps doctors determine what they can help you with.

Arthritis pain is most common, it affects nearly everyone, and if you have had an injury of some sort, it will get in there and hurt, possibly forever..it is chronic inflammation that causes the pain.

Bursitis is also a culprit, again inflammation with fluid build-up anywhere in the joints.  Fibromyalgia, being a persistent unrelenting pain, usually in various parts of the body and is detected by trigger point pressure done by a physician who is knowledgeable with that condition (I suffer with that and take meds for it).

Absolutely, get checked because there could also be something else brewing somewhere.

Let us know how you make out.heart

    • My Dr. Was running late and kinda in a hurry yesterday. But I did get a minute and mentioned the pain and she said its most likely due to what I do all day with lifting and carrying, changing the 5 little ones all day. Sooo, I’m just going to try to get into better shape by eating healthier , hope to lose some weight , that should help some.

Mary, what does one do for chronic inflammation? My last Dr says inflammation is my main problem.

Thanks for all the replies , I appreciate you taking the time to answer.

    • I take an anti-inflammatory (Relafen sp.?..generic name is Nabumetone) and it helps dramatically..a person can take up to 1500 mg. a day, and it varies with me depending on how I feel.  It can cause stomach upset, so it is always important to take with food..hope this helps.

    • Yes!!!  I too have been wondering if I should seek medical attention!  However, I am severely allergic to all medical facilities and providers...lol  my body over the past few weeks has been extremely sore.  Wrist, hands, lower back, left hip and leg!  I almost was wondering if I needed a new one! (hip that is)!  I am just chaulking it up to arthritis finally rearing it’s ugly head, taking motrin when it is most severe, and just hoping it will all go away soon, or is just a bad dream!!!
