    • Unfortunately we had to put our dog of almost 15 years down on Friday.  It was a terrible experience.  My husband is heartbroken as it was really his dog but we got our dog shortly after we were married so it was kinda like our first child.  Jason was the one who really took care of her, trained her, fed her, etc.  It just really stinks!

    • Yes, it’s terrible. I’m so sorry your family is having to go thru this.

I had a black lab/golden retriever who was my and my first daughter’s constant companion.  He was a babysitter and so much more.  He lost an eye to a porcupine quill, he was bitten by a rattlesnake two different times, caught in a coyote snare, and shot by a neighbor.    He survived all of that only to be eaten up by cancer or something.  We had to put him down and it was so hard.

    • I’m so sorry, Diane. I, too, had to put down a beloved pet several years ago. I know that hurt all too well. Again, I’m so very sorry.

    • So sorry to hear thisheartbreak, Diane, my heart goes out to you and your family.heart

We had to part with our beloved Springer Spaniel, Brandy, in 2005..she was 12 and had kidney issues. Hub and son took her and she was son’s best buddy, he grew up with her.  We all cried and it took me a long time to feel better.  We also had three beautiful cats through the years, but only our Siamese, who developed diabetes and never recovered, had to be euthanized.  I even had to have son’s pet hamster euthanized...so much pet sadness in our family.
