    • Unfortunately, it’s a virus that just has to run it course but, to relieve the symptoms, I drink ginger tea with honey and lemon, eat soup, rest, and drink lots and lots of fluids to thin the secretions as they break up. Fresh air, even cold fresh air, is also helpful.

I’m so sorry you’ve been hit by this cold, Tulip. I hope you get better soon.heart

    • Have you tried Alka-Seltzer Plus at bed time?..it works great for hub and son.  Also, Mucinex is known to work.  I can’t take anything with decongestants in it, so for me only my anti-inflammatory and Tylenol is best.  Try the hot steam method...boil a pot of water, throw in an onion and garlic, get a towel and cover your head so only your face is breathing in the steam..honestly, do that two or three times a day and your nose will really run.

      Feel better!heart

    • Thanks Mary.

I made a pot of “Melt your face off soup” and ate that yesterday.  Lots of garlic and jalepenos and Mongolian fire oil in it.  And I’ve had a kettle of water steaming on the stove constantly.

I took Tylenol for the aches, but that’s all.  A lot of that other stuff doesn’t work for me or makes my heart skip beats.

I do feel a ton better today.

I drink a lot of tea with lemon, gurgle with salt and baking soda.  For some reason I don’t like honey anymore.  I also make a chicken soup.
