    • I think that some homework is good to ease them into the education process. It also gives them an opportunity to process information after class, critically think, and gain some pride in themselves. Our granddaughter has had homework throughout her elementary school experience and it’s been a very positive thing for her.

    • I always thought homework was a way to sort of help kids learn study skills.

The good part about homework is it gives parents a chance to see what kids are working on in class.

I don’t remember that my kids had very much homework in gradeschool.  Or maybe they just didn’t bring it home.

    • Yes, because their minds are young and fresh and absorb like a sponge.  Our son had so much homework in parochial school, and when he switched to a charter school in 6th, 7th and 8th grade, it did not diminish..he loved the charter school.
