    • I’m OK as the employee. It’s extra stressful being the big boss.

    • No I would not want to be the boss or manager. I like the position I’m in now because I am in control of when and how often I come in. As a manager or boss, the company would have more control of my time. I also do not want the stress of dealing with upper management.

    • I don’t even want to be the team lead where I work!  She has to go to a bunch of meetings, has to review everyone’s work, work longer hours, and just deal with a lot of political BS.  I’m happy just being the worker bee.  I don’t think I ever want to be in a management position...too much responsibility.

    • Since I was 19 I have been in management on some level. For me it’s more about controlling the environment that I work in vs being a “boss“.  I have every position from low level manager right up to a director (some places use VP) and  while I enjoy the challenges and opportunities I didn’t enjoy working in the head office. I preferred being in the field where I could make a difference on a personal level. After moving to TN tho I was tired of the travel that came along with those positions. So I now I  manage a single store.

I think it all just depends on many things to decide to be in management and I don’t think it’s  the same for all. I’m good at what I do, produce results, create new leaders and happy staff. And I like being able to do all that.

    • At my current job, no I would not want to be in any time of management position! No way!

When I was still at the restaurant, I was pretty much the second in command, and I didn’t mind that at all.

Being self employed for the biggest share of my adult life, I’m kind of used to managing things.  Kinda nice not to have to for awhile.
