    • My aunt who is in her mid 80s is in a rehab center/nursing home.  She fell down in her place and broke her pelvis.  I went to see her today along with my son Kyle and she looks worse than last time.  She was really out of it and slept most of the time that I was there.  The nurses there said she was just tired but it seemed like she was medicated to me.  It was just really sad to see here like that.  When I went to see her there about a month ago, she seemed to be doing better.  She was definitely more alert and was somewhat talkative.

    • I am fortunate that none of my relatives are in nursing homes.

Diane, I’m so sorry your aunt is in that position and seems worse.  Does she have other family near?  Do they know what’s going on?

    • Sorry to hear that Diane, that is hard to take.heartbreak

My mom and dad (in their 70's) are still doing well, crossing my fingers, but my MIL is starting to deal with loss of memory, forgetting people and places, etc.  Hub and his siblings are dealing with that issue right now, and there is a lot going on in the family about what to do.

    • @ Tulip - She has her brother but he’s in his 80s too and has health issues of his own.  I talked to him yesterday and he was going to talk to the doctors today.

I don’t know if she’s going to be able to live on her own again and there really isn’t anyone that can take care of her.  She’s very weak and frail.
