    • I received new checks in the mail and my bank’s name shows, but the address is no longer on it.  When I called the check company they said that it’s not required as long as the routing number is on it?  I called 2 different locations of my bank - one rep said it’s OK, another said it’s required. I called two different stores that I’m a regular at - one said I wouldn’t count on it and another said we’ve seen checks w/o the bank’s address it’s fine.

    • Most store don’t even glance at the bank name much less the address.  Truly in this computer age, that routing number at the bottom is all that matters.

My bank name appears on my checks along with the town where it is located, but no actual address.  I bank at two different banks and both are the same way.  I’ve been doing business with both for decades and the address has never been on the check.

    • My checks show just the bank name and state, but I remember a time when everything would appear..things have changed.

    • My checkbook shows just the bank name and state, things sure have changed since huge corporations have taken over.

    • It hasn’t been so very many years since my bank stopped using “counter checks“.  It was a sad day for those of us who were still using them, but on the other hand, I can’t believe the bank let us use them as long as they did!

    • My personal checks just have the bank’s name on it.  Honestly I don’t ever remember seeing my bank’s full address on my checks.  I know at one point, the checks had the city and state though.
