    • Well definitely one that is at least 2 yrs old so the depreciation is already gone. Then it would depend on what other features you need/ want. Do you need one that will get you thru the snow? Haul stuff? Enough room for multiple passengers? Long road trips or mainly short ones?

Since I used to drive for work some features were more important than others.

But off the top of my head Ford Fusion is good and according to my hubz a good solid car.

    • That’s part of the trouble, I can’t make up my mind what’s most important.

I WANT a sports car again.  I NEED something that gets good mileage for work and road trips.

My daughter who has a Ford Focus is looking at the Fusion.  If she decides to trade cars, I’ve thought about buying her Focus.

    • The Focus was smaller than what I wanted but again according to my car geek hubz it’s a good car too!

Let us know what you end up with!

    • Mary, I’ve put quite a few miles on Ace’s Focus since she’s had it, and I’d highly recommend them.

It is a smaller car than I am really physically comfortable in.

    • I had planned to go car shopping after work today.

I found a Ford Explorer Sport Trak online.  This morning on the way to work, I saw that the dealer had moved it from their out of town location, to one of the car lots I drive past every day.   So... I thought I’d take it for a test drive after work and see what I could get for a trade in and all that.

At lunch time, my work “son” tells me that another co-workers brother has just bought the vehicle I wanted to test drive.  :(

I told hubby that’s just a sign that I’m supposed to have a Mustang, not something practical.

    • I’d probably drive a Camero too, even though I’m pretty much a ford person.  :)

As far as practical, at this point, I do not care.  We need a reliable second vehicle and if it’s fast and fun, why not?  Even a sports car is going to get better mileage than all these clunkers I have sitting around.
