    • This evening I found a baby bird on our lawn. We can’t find the nest and mommy hasn’t shown up. Baby bird is a cutie with lots of fuzz.

    • I would contact your local Wildlife Association as soon as possible as they will give you all the information you need.  Have you touched it with your bare hands?  If so, the mother will not take care of it because the human scent is now on it. If you are willing to feed it constantly until it is mature enough to fly away, try it, but contact the Wildlife Association first.

      Let me know what happens.happy

    • Thank you Mary. We did not touch it. Yesterday morning before getting ready for work the birdie was still there. Then less than an hour later before I left for work the baby was gone. I’m sure mom came for it. happy

    • I am so happy to hear that, as we have had the dilemma about what to do with the baby birds.  One time I found a very tiny newborn with no hair and it was late at night, so I tried to make it comfortable with warm nesting outside, not touching it and the mother never came back and it died overnight.heartbreak
