    • This summer I will buy new kitchen curtains. Also, the living room sheer liner has a tear so I should replace that. In addition, I’ve been looking for one way draw patio drapes to replace the worn out drapery for quite some time.

    • Oh Linda, you and I are on the same page..lol..today I am cleaning my downstairs windows and replacing them with a summer set for the living room.  The front of our home faces the west, so we get really hot sun in the afternoon.  I have vertical blinds on my front windows, but also need sheers and curtains to help block the blinding sun, plus my plants can’t take too much heat.

I have cellular shades for the kitchen windows and dining room window, so I only use a valance for decoration.  I keep thinking, maybe I should plant a small tree in the front of the house to create some shade.happy

Linda, check out JCP as they always have lots of options for window coverings.

    • I wasn’t sure if you meant seasonally or not.

I have no curtains or blinds on my windows facing my backyard. We had our windows done a couple years ago and then we started working on the kitchen so I haven’t got around to window treatments yet. I’m slow!!!!!

    • Thank you ladies for your comments.

Mary, I’m glad you mentioned blinds. My dining room window has vertical blinds and I’ve always wanted to put a valance for decoration, but I’m slow. Yes, JCP does have great window treatments, but so far no stores have the one way draw so looks like I may have to get it made.

Vikki, I meant either. I’m slow in replacing worn out drapery and getting a valance. This summer it will get done!

    • I’ve had the same old drapes in my living room since I moved into this house.  Before that they were in my parents house.  I swear these drapes are from the 60s and virtually indestructable!!!!   And I hate them.  But to replace them with what I want is big $$$$ and so I keep them.

The rest of the house doesn’t have much for curtains.   None at all on the kitchen windows.

The only place in our bathroom for a towel rack was over the window and so our towels become our curtains.  Actually works quite nicely.  We always have a warm fluffy sun dried towel when we step out of the shower.

I’m really tired of my bedroom curtains, but don’t know what I want in there, so I keep them.  :(

    • We just moved here last year and my hubby got the Roman shades for our living room and other window treatments.  We haven’t changed them since then and probably won’t.

    • Linda , have you looked at JCP.com ? They have a much bigger selection than the stores have. My drapes are only about a year old but I have blinds in the kitchen with valances I’m getting tired of looking at, may replace those.

    • Thank you Dianne! Actually I did check JCP on-line too, but they didn’t have the color and the size I’m looking for. I’ll keep trying for availability. happy
