    • I think you are too old to have a child if that child potentially will have to change your diapers before they are 18.

Really any age is fine as long as you have the ability to love and care properly for baby.

    • I have custody of my 1.5 year old grand daughter. I am 49. When she is 18, I will be 66. I have thought about that a lot. I am wondering if I will have the energy to deal with another teenager. She is such a joy and I don’t regret taking custody of her at all. I would never in a million years have had a child after 45. So I guess that would be my answer. If the question is having one physically yourself. Adoption wise, I wouldn’t take on a baby after 50, unless as in my case it is an emergency situation.

    • Taking on a grandchild who needs raising is one thing.  I don’t think there is any age limit on that.

As for giving birth, that’s a different story.  I had my children at a young age, and frankly I can’t imagine dealing with “the terrible twos” at 35 or 40.    I know there are people who do it, and I admire them, but it certainly wouldn’t be for me.  Thirty would be my age limit.

    • I will be 43 next month and I have a 5 yr old boy and a soon to be 10 yr old boy and it’s tiring!  The older you get, the less energy you have to deal with kids.  And kids have a TON of energy.  Plus don’t you want to see your kids grow up?  If you have them too old, you might not see them grow up and meet your grandkids.

    • I’d say 40.  I had mine at age 20 and 27.

    • Over 30 is my opinion and if someone wants to have a child in their later years, more power to them, but it is tiring and some women start to get bored and aggravated having to raise a teen in their later years...think about getting close to menopause and the changes that go on.frown
