    • I don’t have any platonic boyfriends but I try to see a girlfriend at least once a month.  Sometimes I plan a GNO and invite all my friends to that.  Usually I do the inviting 99% of the time.

    • I am guilty of being the one who generally does not do the inviting. Thank God I have some nice girlfriends who know how busy I am with nursing school and they call me to check in and invite me to lunch from time to time. No platonic male friends right now but I had one in the past. We used to call and invite probably about 50/50 equally. My husband would be uncomfortable with me having any male friends so I gave them up.

    • @ Cindy - My husband is the same way when it comes to guy friends...he did not like it but he doesn’t have any female friends and that’s just the way it’s been.  He did/has a bit of a jealous streak in him.

    • I try to see a friend at least every couple of weeks, either tea/coffee or lunch..and always a chat or quick text.

The only male friends I ever had were gay and hub was o.k. with that.

    • I go out for lunch with one or more of my guy friends from work probably once a week. We try to do happy hour once a month if our paychecks stretch that far.

Try to have a girls day out with my BFF every month or two.  I don’t have many girlfriends.  I coffee with the old men any time I get a weekday off.

    • Thank you for your comments.  I’m trying to develop friendships. Yesterday I invited a coworker (not a best friend, but we always chat during lunch) for coffee or lunch. We had lunch today and great conversation.

When I lived in Japan I had a male friend who is gay and he was awesome so understanding of me.
