    • First name is fine. Some young adults prefer to address me as Ms. When I tell them it’s OK to call me by my first name, they say I learned to be respectful when addressing older people. And I jokingly say so you‘re calling me OLD.

However, some of our students just call me by my first name or say “hey“, so I have to correct them.

    • When I was first married and had children I was the third generation Mrs. L in my community.  If someone said Mrs. L, I automatically looked around for my husband’s grandmother, so I prefered kids to call me by my name.

Honestly, “Mrs.” is never something that has defined me and I prefer not to be called Mrs—ever, by anyone.

    • I’m traditional, old school whatever, call me Mrs. Richardson, or Mrs. Denise.
