    • There’s been a couple of books that seemed interesting after reading the summary, but while reading the first chapter I didn’t care for it, yet forced myself to read the next chapter and that confirmed that it’s not the book for me.

    • I usually slog on even if it’s boring.  I’ve read several books that the first 2/3 of the book bored me to tears, but the last 1/3 was very worth while and made me glad I’d stuck with it.

    • I will force myself to read the first chapter if at that time i am screaming because its a great letdown then i just put it down.  i find the summary of a book not a good indicator of how good a read it is.  i usually open at a random page and read if i like it then usually its a great book.
