    • I’ve had the original Kindle which I loved. Then my hubs bought me an iPad when they 1st came out. I ended up giving away my kindle since I had the iPad. Hubz bought me the mini iPad for Christmas since my other one was old and was not compatible with all the updated apps.

I loved all of them. I do like the size of the mini which is the same size as a kindle.

Some things to consider before you buy-

Do you read in full sunlight more than not?
Do you read in the dark?
Do you plan to use it for anything else? (I use mine for notes and journaling along with most computer type uses)
Can you access wifi or will you need it to have its own connection? ( I just use available wifi)

A kindle is less expensive for sure and if you belong to Amazon Prime you get to “borrow” books monthly.

Let me know what you end up getting estatic

    • I have a very basic Nook.  Hubby got it free, so I had no input into acquiring it.   And I like it.  But........ as near as I can figure out, I can only get books from Barnes and Noble for it.  That’s mostly ok, cuz that’s where I buy my new books from anyway.  But, sometimes there’s stuff on amazon I’d like to get and can’t.

    • I have the original Kindle with the keyboard, and I love it, I read way more books on there than I ever read before and it’s easy to highlight bits and keep notes too. I also have an Ipad with the Kindle app and occasionally I read books in there if I’m out and about but I find it more difficult reading on the bright screen than on the Matt screen of the Kindle device.
