    • That’s an interesting question - I’ve never looked at it that way before. My husband’s granddaughter is being raised by his ex-wife but we’ve been a big part of the raising of her as well. We have never really separated the two; she’s our granddaughter but we instill values, morals, ethics - all then things that parents do at the same time. He says his relationship with her is different than the relationship he had with his daughter. He and his granddaughter are very close and spend a lot of time together.

    • I’m not raising them. But I’m their full time caregiver while their parents are at work. I’d much rather just be spoiling them on occasion than disciplining them all day. Three under age 3.
