    • I think this depends on:
how many people are you thinking of and are you going casual or formal?

will you be doing all the work yourself or will you have help?

Will any of your guests have dietary issues that you need to consider?

Are you on a particular budget?

    • Dinner party will be casual, all friends of about 10 - 20 people. Budget is not an issue. All cooking will be done by me. Thanks

    • My dinner party menu is always the same.  Roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy and a couple vegetables and baking powder biscuits.

    • Hmmmm since I’m not a great cook I like to keep it simple. For me I would probably do Mexican night with all the fixings for tacos, nachos, fajitas or salad. Then I would probably do a fruit fondu for desser. My choice of drink would be margeuritas , sparkling fruit drinks non alcohol and hot Mexican,n coffee for dessert.

    • Mmmmm, mexican is always good!  I’ve been promising some friends we’d do that for ages.  Gosh, now that I’ve remembered I feel guilty for not getting that done.

    • me-I’d also keep it simple.  depending on the weather, do something fun!  Love the taco bar idea (burritos, etc.) everyone loves to do their own!  do something different w/ the veggies, rice and refried beans too.  something as little as going on Pinterest for a twist on the classics.  do the same for dessert-I did “s‘more” bar with different types of chocolate, flavored marshmallows, put out some bananas and other fruit (berries, soft pears) and even different flavors of the graham crackers out there.  don’t forget the p-nut butter!

Your theme could be “the bar party”

    • Spaghetti & meatballs, salad, garlic   bread, add another veggie and a delicious dessert bar(variety of desserts) and  soft drinks.
