    • After having a long mental fight with myself I decided to get off the pitty pot and do something about this weight I’ve put on over the last two years. I cancelled my one membership at on gym and got a new one at another gym and this is my second week going and I tell you, I feel so much better going. Today I went without my associate and to be honest I think I like going alone better, so as of today I willbe going it alone. I didn’t have her holding my hand when I put these pounds on so I don’t need her to help me get it off. I downloaded some great music on my Mp3 player hit the gym and enjoyed my 2 hour workout alone. So I’m back again in the morning by 8am. estaticheart

    • Awesome Neicy!  The winter is always tough on me, in many ways, and I do gain weight during this time, but I do my best to stay active and do exercises at home.  I went outside and shoveled for an hour and it really helped to condition my muscles and get them ready for spring time and all my yard work.

I also wish I could stop taking certain meds that I am on, but unfortunately they help to keep my fibromyalgia stable...but those darn things also make me gain weight.

I just do the best I can, eat very well, exercise and stay positive and peaceful as much as possible.

    • I’m working on eating healthier and having a more positive attitude.  It’s January and it’s freaking cold and so both those things are hard to do.

It’s Wednesday night and it’s a miserably cold wretched day in January and I’ve had a really bad day and so my supper will be popcorn and lots of beer and wallowing in self pity.  But I’ve realized I have to let myself have these sort of nights without beating myself up about it.

Tomorrow is another day and I’ll be back on track and eating well and being positive.  I guess the biggest change I’m making in me is ATTITUDE.  And if that means getting the FedEx man fired for being rude to me, so be it.  :)

    • Good responses!! And, Tulip, I want to know what he did, too. Let’s gang up on him and teach him a lesson!!!

The last year and a half of nursing school have taken its toll on my body and my overall health. When this last (woohoo) semester started a week ago I made a promise to myself that I would be less focused on getting an “A” and more focused on getting my health back. I’ve since ramped up my workouts, I’ve lost 3 pounds in the past week, I’m sleeping better and eating back to my normal healthy way. As the semester heats up and assignments pile on I must make that promise to myself that I will not, under any circumstances, slip and allow school to hurt my health.

    • The Fed Ex man is not supposed to show up with freight until 8 am.   Just because I am at work at 6:30 does not mean I am required to unload that truck.  I do not have to accept it till 8am.

So yesterday this young punk driver showed up at 7:30 and out of the goodness of my heart I unloaded the truck, but made a comment about him being there at 7:30 and the driver took an attitude with me.   And I’m all crabby this week anyway.  I had grabbed one of the guys to help me unload and he kept me from damaging the boy....

    • Well TL why are you unloading the truck? Dont they have an inside delivery plan? YIKES!

This has been a constant battle for me.... healthy living. I have been derailed since I started work at my current employ. We sell shampoo for crying out loud but stress is high because we have to sell enough shampoo to keep the share holders in profits. Sooooooo I am a stress junk food eater. I replace the healthy with the not so healthy.

2014 is all about keeping my mind and body calm so I can be the healthy version of me. (I hope I lose the menopot in the process)
