    • Today at work when I introduced myself to this woman she gave me a nasty look and told me that she knows, she said, Don’t you remember that you already told me.” I was startled and said that I guess I wasn’t thinking, I’m sorry. Later in the day when I said “Hi” to her, she brushed me off by saying that she’s leaving. I swear I didn’t do anything wrong.

    • She sounds like someone I would ignore from now on. She’s got problems ( mental )

    • It happens to us in the hospital all the time. Many of the nurses and nurse aids treat us like garbage. In fact, the nursing profession is having a real problem with this type of behavior. It’s the number one reason that new nurses will quit the profession altogether after only 3-5 years.

That being said, it feels horrible to be on the receiving end of that. When this happens to me, I use that person as a type of study of sorts. I watch her interact with others when she’s not looking to see if she treats everyone that way. I also look at how others respond to her. In many cases I find comfort in knowing that I’m not the only one being mistreated.

    • Maybe she is having a bad day or a bad life.  I would probably steer clear of her from now on.

    • Today she smiled when we saw each other. Then later she asked me if I already ate lunch. Was she checking to see if I remembered that I ate because her friend was on her cell when I was eating in the lunch room and possibly told her?

She seems to be treating others fine because she talks to them, but not me. Oh well, I’m not going to worry about it.
