    • Usually adults remember me or I remember them unless the last time I saw them was when they were a child or it’s been many years ago. The students who are now in secondary school or working recognize me and it’s great to see them. Some of my daughter’s friends recognize me and greet me and it’s embarrassing when I don’t remember them. Young people’s appearance do change.

    • I’ve approached people who I recognize and then have had to remind them who I am. That’s an awkward moment! When people approach me I usually say, “I recognize you but remind me where we know each other” even if I don’t recognize them. Save them any embarrassment.

    • Yep, I have both happen.  Especially since i’ve worked and lived so many different places and been involved in so many organizations.  I rarely forget a face, but putting a name to it and putting it in the right context doesn’t always happen.

    • Just remembered a funny for instance:  two weeks ago I was in the store and saw this REALLY good looking cowboy and his wife.  I gave him a second look as they were walking on past and I walked to the cash register trying to remember where I know him from.  I was almost out of the store before I realized that little mousy wife beside him was a former co-worker of mine.  So embarassed.....
