    • They may need to change management as well as hire new staff and teach more on marketing and customer service in their establishment.

    • My rant for the day: Today I was at the thrift store and when I went to the toy section to look for jigsaw puzzles two clerks were cleaning up the area. They mentioned that parents are dropping off their kids to play there while they shop. They said that when they tell the kids to go to their parents they were told to be in the toy section. The adults don’t listen to the intercom that children should be with parents as well as take responsibility to make them clean up.

    • Neicy, I agree! Also, some department stores have clothes on the floor mainly due to clothes being hung up super tight on the racks as well as shoppers who don’t bother to pick up. I like the stores when staff are going through the racks and shelves to straighten things.

    • If I see a messy section in any store around here, I assume that they are understaffed because that’s a pretty common thing here.

    • I always assume a store it understaffed when I see that.

Don’t know what happened to my reply the first time here.

    • I really don’t expect thrift stores, tjmaxx, and stores like that to be neat. They are used or seconds. However if I go into a nicer store like Dillard’s, or Macys then I expect neater and if not I assume low staff or poor management

    • Thank you for your comments! I agree the store may be understaffed, but when I see workers just walking around and don’t make an attempt to straighten things out I think it’s poor management. I’ve seen workers at thrift stores, and second hand stores concerned about neatness.

My daughter and I went shopping at the mall yesterday. We went to the major department stores including Macy’s. Most areas were neat except the clothing on clearance, some shelves, and the dressing rooms had mounds of clothing left in them.
