    • I buy 2 maybe 3 bottles of red wine a month. The price varies, depending on what I buy. Teeky just turned me in to a Goats Do Roam fanatic and each bottle costs $11.00. If I buy my La Crema Pinot Noir, that is $20.00 per bottle.
Sooooo, $30 dollars a month or so.

    • We keep a fully stocked bar. We have a lot of parties. My husband’s job requires him to entertain a lot.

We also like to buy nice wine. And people give us wine a lot when they come over. Gosh, we’ve got nearly 300 bottles in our cabinet. Some of them are rare, old Chateau Montelena, Opus 1, Super Tuscan.

So I shudder to think how much money we have just in our liquor cabinet!

      Party at my house!

    • Judy ~ I think you are “winning” so far...hahaha

I also have a fully stocked bar at all times & entertain frequently....my friends like “top shelf“! I ONLY drink red wine....but plenty of it.....for “medicinal” purposes, of course. Goats have been Roaming lately....probably 2 bottles a week....so about $80/month...just for me!

Cynthia....I’m going to your house for Fine Wine!

    • Seems like the older I get the less I drink...so now maybe once or twice a year I might buy a couple bottles of wine...I love dry white wine...I should be drinking the red though...it’s better for you...happy maybe about 20 to 20 dollars for an evening of sipping wine...

    • Ingrid, I’ve got a crash pad for you, my friend.

Oh, the mention of Petron made me think of Tesoro. Great sipping tequilla. I used to have a neighbor in California who worked in Mexico and brought it home for the neighborhood. Yum

    • I couldn’t tell you the last time i bought liquor.  I rec’d many bottles of lovely wine for Christmas from clients and it will last me the year.  It is rare that i drink at home.  Occasionally, i will open a bottle of wine with my last customer of the day, though.

I“ve done my fair share of drinking in my younger days.  I so detest ruining a day with a hangover that i’ll rarely have more than two drinks when we go out.

As far as the house bar, we keep it stocked for guests...Absolut, Cuervo, Ketel One, Captain Morgan.  There’s a little something for everyone with that!  LOL

    • I would have to guees that I spend about $150.  A couple bottles of inexpensive, but not cheap, wine during the week.  And the occasional bottle of Ketel One (or similar) and Jameson’s to last a while.  We’ve had an “issue” with vodka theft once or twice though, so I am less likely to buy the hard stuff....unless I HIDE it!  happy

      Cheers, ladies!

    • LOL Neicy!!  I probably only spend 40 a month or so. Usually wine, but once and awhile (usually only during the holidays) I will buy a bottle of Absolute Citron Vodka, Kahluah, Baileys, and Malibu Coconut Rum.

    • Way to go Bfly!!!  My husband has been sober for I think 14 years now.  I’m so proud of him, and you too!

I’ll buy a six pack of Bud every now and then.  Or some nice dark beer.  So, that’s maybe $8 every two months.  And I might spend another $8 a month having a beer with the guys at the bar.  My biggest alcohol expenditure was to get a bottle of Capt Morgan rum to make rum cakes at Christmas.  Last year the bottle cost $16, this year it was $20!!!!! I almost didn’t buy it.
