    • We had our first snow on Monday and it was pretty and fun.  And we had our second snow this morning and it’s deep and cold and pretty and still fun.

Ask me what I think of new snow in January and I’m sure my response will involve a lot of four letter words.  For now it’s pretty.  And fun.

I could only drive about 50 mph to work this morning because there were just barely wheeltracks thru the snow, but coming home at noon the road had been plowed and it was easy going.

I got stuck behind two vehicles going ridiculously slow.  When I finally got the chance to pass I expected them to be old people who were nervous about the weather.  Nope, they were two vehicles from Alberta Canada.  I thought people from there were used to blowing snow.

    • It’s cold I had to finally turn the heat on. Snow is pretty if I didn’t have to go anywhere. If you were behind people from Seattle they would be super slow too. We‘re just not used to driving in the snow.

    • Yes, I expected it to be people from some non-snow place, not from hundreds of miles north of ME.

    • I haven’t seen any snow here yet in Northern Virginia but the temps have definitely taken a nose dive.

    • We got probably 6” yesterday morning.   Some more coming down today, but it’s all coming horizontally.  Everything is drifting.  It looks and feels like January!

    • It’s hard to say-the temps only rose to 66 today and it was supposed to get about 10 degrees hotter.  this morning at 7 it was in the upper 50’s and really windy!

    • Ah Carine, 66 sounds pretty warm right now.

At 10:00 break this morning, we had a -4 degree wind chill going on.  Doesn’t stop me from going out to get some fresh air.

What I do find funny is the smoker’s hacking and coughing when that cold air hits their abused lungs.  Maybe I shouldn’t laugh, but I do.
