    • No plans. My ideal heart day is flowers, candy, and lunch/dinner w/ someone special. Most likely that’s not going to happen so I’ll probably treat myself w/ flowers, take out, and rent a movie.

    • The community where we used to live is doing a steak supper as a fundraiser for something.  I asked hubby if he’d go with me and he said YES!!!  So for once I actually have plans for Valentine’s day.

    • Hubby doesn’t like to do something on the actual Valentine’s Day because everywhere is crowded.  So I called the babysitter for the 15th instead.  We will probably just do dinner.

My ideal VD would include flowers, chocolate, and dinner though.

    • I’m like you Diane-first off, dh is working until probably 7, so we won’t be going out on the day of-however, we did do something pretty darn nice for each other already.

I’ll make a nice dinner.  just really hoping that since I’m watching the boys on Friday night and watching the baby on Tuesday-no one will expect us to watch all of them on Saturday night!

    • I think it a great holiday for people that are dating. For us folks that have been married for decades we need to do our own Valentine at least once a month to remind ourselves why we fell in love in the first place.

Marriage only flourishes when you work on it daily.

The happiness to a great marriage is communication, admiration and daily little things that remind us that we are loved.

Buying flowers once a year is just a check mark for a Hallmark Holiday.

Having said that we will be out and about it’s a Saturday night, and we do that almost every week.
