    • I told my dh that I wasn’t going to do anything.  Our DDIL is always helping me w/ the serving and clean-up when I host family meals.  Parents, sister and niece just left.  cooked for 13 2 dinners and one breakfast. afternoon they left I had our older grandsons over night and then took them to school in the morning.

DDIL is pregnant, working f-t and has the older baby.

At first the 2 of us thought let DD do something for a change.  Then we backed down and decided to do breakfast for lunch.  DDIL p-u bagels and lox at Costco, I bought extra eggs, fresh bananas and berries and cream cheese.  I also made a pan of double chocolate cookies.  Did ask DD to bring a dessert-we’ll see.

so I guess for Mother’s Day, I’m doing what I do every single freakin’ day of my life.

      rant is now over.

    • Carine - I hear you.  No one made breakfast for me and then when I was making eggs for myself, my husband asked why I wasn’t making eggs for everyone and I said it’s Mother’s Day, you should be making me breakfast!

Church was disastrous with the two boys acting up really bad. I ended up taking the younger one to the lobby since my husband was too lazy to take him to the lobby.

The afternoon was a little better.  I got a 1 hour massage which I really needed since I was stressed out and went shoe shopping.  Came home, took a nap, and we‘re getting ready to go out for dinner.  I’m  hoping that it is less stressful than this morning.

    • dh asked me for waffles for breakfast.  told him if he wanted them, it’s Mother’s Day, he could make some for both of us.

He “treated” me to Denny’s.  No massage for me.  Got 2 last year.  one from each.  son wrote a lovely message on my card.  middle grandson helped “auntie” and me get the table set up while DH and DS grilled the ham steak.  and yes, I did make the eggs while dil put out the bagels, lox.  I also put out the fruit, salads and veggies.

      DD played w/ her phone...
