Q & A

Has anyone used one of the new washer/dryer combos(you don’t move it from washer to dryer) that does it all in one machine?

    • I’ve had two washer dryers and hated them - first they don’t spin the clothes so the clothes are not completey wrung out before they go into the drying process - which means they take twice as long ...... and they cost a fortune to repair when they break down and one part can go on the blink and cause problems with the other ......

I’ve just invested in a steam washer and it’s great all your clothes come out almost dry you just put them on hangers and straigthen them and hey presto hardly any ironing - sadly the other point about a combo is because they are almost wet when the dryer kicks in when they do dry they are creased to death .......

      Hope that helps

    • Oh, those are the norm overseas.  I had one when I lived in Dubai.  Nothing to write home about, though.  What if you have 6 loads of laundry?  WHEN, WHAT day and at WHAT time are you going to finish?  They are basically space-savers.  I never used the dryer part.
