    • Annie,

I am so sorry for your loss. I type through bleary eyes. I live in California. I didn’t personally lose anyone, but I mourn all of them. They were our brothers and sisters. The loss is felt deeply all across the country, but I especially want to reach out to you in New York and New Jersey. I have a friend in Manalapin, N.J. who told me that many of the children in her community lost one or both parents. I still cannot grasp the horror of such evil.

Big Hugs to all of you,

      Dana

    • Yes, I remember, those of my friends that were lost, those that miraculously were late for work and were not lost, and those that actually survived amidst it all.  My heart and my thoughts mourn, remember and honor all of them.  Thanks and hugs to all, Andrea

    • Whew... I was covered in chills this morning as I sat in silence remembering this tragic event. I remember vividly sitting up in bed in horror as I watched the news. My dear friend who lives in NY was on a plane on the tarmac as she got the news... her then boyfriend was right next to the towers and watched everything in horror... he was so badly effected he moved back home to France.
I honor those lost and those spared and all of us who were profoundly effected... may we continue to see the blessings in even the little things that drive us nuts... at least we‘re here to be driven nuts and love those around us that drive us the craziest.
      Thanks DailyBlonde...

    • to annie123 you are so right in that we should all be a litle more kind and gentle with each other especially on this day. I had just started working for the federal government in Los Angeles when 9/11 happened and I remember thinking: what have I gotten myself into? I was so scared. Everyone here was sent home for two days. I can’t help but think of all the people that panicked that day trying to get out of their buildings. And on the days whenwe have fire drills, we are moving at a snails pace. It really puts things into perspective. It is heartbreaking. I am still working at the Federal Government trying to do my part in aviation to make things a little safer for the flying public.

    • It’s amazing how quickly we forget. I dated a great man from Manhattan for quite a long time and he walked into tower 2 that day...late for work for the first time in 15 years in his firm. He missed his connecting subway. He walked in as T2 was hit and ran...and ran. I know he’s out golfing today. He takes every 9/11 off and golfs alone. I guess it’s his therapy. Everyone tells him he’s lucky...but his sadness shows he’s fortunate, but not lucky. It’s taken its toll emotionally. Many forget that it’s not just the ones we lost but it’s the ones who were nearly killed and now have to struggle with the “Why me” question.

We‘re all affected and I just wanted to remind people that even after everyone stopped putting flags up and crying...it’s still a day to reflect.
