    • It drives me crazy:

girls say “like” after almost every word.

guys say my “n*gg@*” in the same way.

    • My daughter just starting saying “Dude“.  I just look at her like she is crazy until she says mom.  She starts to say something and then if you don’t hear her she says nevermind...I HATE THAT.

She talks to fast and too much to catch everything and gets upset if you don’t catch it all....crazy kids!

Mostly I hate that you always have to say “WHAT????”

I agree with Neicy...knowing that your son is disrespecting girls should be nipped in the bud.

And my kids know that if they slip....if certain words exit their mouths they can go to their rooms.

      or like ya know....

if i ever hear the n word, they know to just get the soap and eat it.

    • Well my 3year old niece called me the other night (she calls me to tell on her mom all the time) and her words were: I am frus-frus-frustrated as heck right now!!  I had to stifle the giggles and told my sister that I was glad she used heck instead of hell......

but to stay on the subject. I hate that teens (tweens) feel like they have to have the last word. I keep reminding my daughter that she has to learn when to just shut up...everything is NOT up for discussion.

Ladies, its not even the disrespect part so much it’s using the word PERIOD!! at that age and in her presence wow thats something to me. I guess i’m old school, I’m the big ma, and nana, and the madea type I guess you will NOT lose respect in my presence sorry but thats how it is with me.

    • Ya’ll know what? Now my 2yr. old grand daughter knows too much I mean as far as her educated stuff she suppose to know she can count from 1-30 say all her alphabets and can identify them as well as her numbers and shapes, knows her colors and can identify them as well, ok thats all fine and well and working on her reading and she is potty trained but even with all that she knows the new Keisha Cole song the one with Tupac in it I don’t know the title of the song but anyhow I still don’t want her at that age singing those type of songs I know some find it cute to see little ones sing and dance to those music videos and mimicing the moves BUT!! I’m not big on it too many perverts in the world and now adays people are putting these things on YOU TUBE for all to see I told my daughter I better NOT ever see my grand daughter on YOU TUBE doing anything! I’m just sayin not knocking those who find it amusing but thats just me.

    • i agree with you on that neicy!

my sister is always trying to get my 10 year old daughter to do things like that, and i remember 2 summers ago, when the children went back to michigan to visit for the summer, my momita called when they got there.. WELL i heard my sister in the backgroud telling my daughter to do the booty pop ! i said to my momita" you tell her to stop telling my daughter to do that ( my sis didn't know i was on the phone! lol ) and when momita told her to stop, because i wouldn't like it my sister said " aw, momita, she'll never know! its ok! "

my momita handed my sister the phone, and i said " she is*8* years old! what part of STOP do you not get? i do not want her doing moves like that! its not ok! "

lol.. my sister apologized, and was shocked because she didn’t know i was on the phone!

    • Yeah I feel what you‘re saying, neicy.

I also gringe when small children don’t act their age and act too grown - that’s when it stops being cute. I also think toddlers have to be trained to listen to mellow music. Nowadays it’s too much cursing and suggestive lyrics are out there.

Some folks don’t care because in their head - they‘re thinking “this is my child and i’ll do what i please“.

      Sad but true.

My youngest has always talked fast & when I ask him to repeat it his answer is “never mind“... never mind my foot, he’d better be glad the two women who helped raise me weren’t around. First would be a slap on the mouth for disrespect then out would come the lye soap!! And these were Southern Genteel Ladies of the highest Christian caliber!!
