Will going off hormone replacement therapy cause hair loss or wieight gain.

    • I found for me being on them made me gain weight, so I told my DR. I didn’t want them any longer I think it depends on the individual. As far as hair loss no loss here.

    • I haven’t heard anything. I just went on bio identical hormones last week and I feel really good. I’ve begun exercising more now than before because menopause made me feel so lousy.  

      Not sure about hair loss.

      My doc told me that when I don’t need them anymore I will taper off slowly.

    • I tried going off my estrodial and it caused me a heart arythmia but I had a complete hysterctomy so I had very little ability to make my own hormones and the imbalance was too much.
      It didnt affect my hair any and my weights been slowly climbing for the past few years, so I couldnt say if it had any effect there.
