Over Christmas we had it on as our exercise programme.... yes we've had a laugh – yes we have used it –No it's not made us fit and do I think it ever would NO

Buy for a laugh not for a honed athletic body

    • I have one, (we got it for Christmas), although I have not been able to use it. Not until my foot completely heals per doctors orders.  My 2 daughters use it, and they love it. Ages 19 and 16, and they are both sore the next day from the workout they get. I can’t wait to get on it!

    • I have one and I really like it Cindy!!  Even tho I walk for a living, I was sore the next day after using it for the first time.  I think if you use it seriously and not for just fun and games, it will help.  It keeps track of your progress, it even weighs you each day you use it.  It tests your balance, you’d be surprised how unbalanced we all are!!  My favorite workout on there is the running!!  You put the Wii remote in your pocket and run in place.  A great workout!!  Get’s the heart pumping!!  You can have fun with that too and try and outrun your trainer, and they’ll trip you up, and tell you that your running too fast!!  Now that’s funny!!  Now my favorite game is the soccer!!  You have to lean from left to right and hit the soccer balls with your head!!  Occassionally, they’ll throw a panda bear head or a shoe at you, which you have to avoid!!  We laugh so hard at that game everytime we play, but at the same time, you‘re getting a great workout!!  So, I would recommend you getting one!!  I think the whole Wii experience is good, because many of the games require you to get up off your butt to play!!

    • Thanks, guys, for contribution your thoughts here.  I, too, am considering getting the Fit accessories and am curious what everyone thinks about it.

We have the Dance Dance Revolution for our Wii, and I gotta say it can be quite a workout, too.

Would love to hear more comments about the Fit.

She can’t use it much right now because of the back problem, but she said she could feel it when she was using it.

    • Have you tried the wii dancing mat? I played this
on New Year’s at a friend’s house and had a blast.
I own the regular wii and box with my husband. We stand
up and play and in 20 minutes are covered in sweat.
So that is fun too. Don’t know about the fitness but
the commercials make it seem almost too easy, maybe
      not burning enough calories. ????

    • I just bought the Wii Fit and I don’t know about fitness for someone who’s already fit but for me, with so much extra weight and damage to my feet which makes my balance really sucky, it’s a godsend.  The little “games” make it easier than just standing there trying to practice balance.  I love that everything has a little circle that you need to stay inside of to make sure that whatever you‘re doing, you‘re in balance.  The improvement in my balance alone is improving my sciatica and I do sweat and improve and lose weight using it.  As I said, once I’m more fit, that may not be the case, but right now, unfit, it’s a great workout and it keeps me entertained and I’m actually enjoying doing it and that’s a huge plus for me.
