    • I had a few obstacles that prevented me from dating in high school.

      1.  I was tall, skinny & lanky, didn’t have any boyfriends in High School.
      2.  My mom/dad was very very strict, no boyfriends allowed.  I thought after my dad passed, that it would be easier, but someone the reign from my mom, got tighter

    • Yes.  My best girlfriend’s brother wanted to date me bad and we went out couple times.  I gave him the cold shoulder.  Now he is a well know Chiropractor in Hong Kong after schooling in Australia.  Oh, well.  No chemistry then or I did not wear my glasses.

Others, I wondered where they ended up.  Tried to find them on Facebook but no success.

    • I had a guy from school find me on classmates.com and tell me that I was his first love and he’s never forgotten me. I remember him but we never dated. I didn’t know he even noticed me.

Another guy I knew from kindergarten to senior year found me on facebook. Never dated him, either. He wanted to connect with old classmates because we‘re about  to have our 30th reunion.

    • My husband reminds me of all the guys (there weren’t many) I dated. LOL
but what is worse is on facebook one of the girls who tried to ‘steal’ him away from me left a wall post on a mutual friend’s page asking if he ever heard from my hubby (not US, but just my hubby. grrr) I never liked her before she tried to dig her claws in him. LOL
I took the high road and refrained from ackowledging her post.

I used to play the “what if” about a few old HS BFs but now that I have Mark-no way, no how. I don’t need to find those losers!!

    • Only dated 3 people thru  HS.  One I met up with at the 20 year re-union - he’s cute, but still a bonehead.  The other 2 I wonder about often..... One was a beautiful American Indian!

Otherwise - I had an AWE  moment sort of like CHOCOLITIER - My 1st boyfriends best friends brother (that was hard to get out) ran into me a few years back - he told  me that he remembered exactly what I was wearing the 1st time that he ever saw me, and that he had always thought I was beautiful and hoped to cross paths with me.   Still wasn’t the right time......always timing isn’t it?!  But what a great feeling!

    • Yeah, I think about them from time to time.  And usually I’m very glad I didn’t end up with any of them.  Got reaquainted with one thru Facebook.  Most of the rest, I know where they are and see mutual friends now and then.

    • For years I thought about my childhood sweetheart. I always wondered where is was and what he was doing. I lost touch with him after high school.

Then we had our 40 year class reunion. It was in my hometown where my dad still lives so I went and visited with my dad also. I could not wait to see if he showed up.

Well I could ramble on and on about this but he was there. It was a real disappointment. He still looked as handsome as ever and very tall. However, he was very stuck on himself.

I feel like I wasted my time dreaming of what might have been when we finally met again at the reunion but dreams don’t always come true. It probably was for the best but my bubble was really burst.frownfrown

    • Yes, I do, I can remember certain events pretty clearly from high school and the guys I hung out with.  Nothing too serious, I’ve even found some on Facebook.  Its fun to reconnect after 30 years!
