A martini sound good right about now. I’ve spent the day working with a new chocolate my supplier talked me into. I’ve struggled with it all day. My truffles are alright but not the quality I’m used to. The whole batch is sold so I’m not out anything but I’m going back to the product I’m used to!
Maybe a chocolate martini is in order!
I do! Equal parts Vanilla flavored Vodka, Godiva Liquor (I like the milk chocolate) and Bailey’s Irish Cream. It’s called a Boston Cream Pie Martini. You can rim the glass with sugar but I find it to be too sweet. I’ve seen people dip the rim in vodka and then swirl it into shaved chocolate but I find that too messy.
Tropical Island Martini
2 parts APeach Vodka
1 part Coconut Rum
2 dashes grenadine
splash cranberry juice (1 1/2 shots)
splash orange juice (1 1/2 shots)
Add above to ice, shake and pour into a martini glass
It’s delicious yet potent.....enjoy!
I made this at a party and everyone loved it!
That sounds yummy! I am a fruity person myself but I think I need to try that one Cynthia.
Fuzzy Navels are favorites of mine:
Peach Schnapps
Vodka
Orange Juice
Amounts vary depending.... :)
I saw this on the internet and thought it was pretty funny:
If vodka was water
and I was a duck
I’d swim to the bottom
and never come up...
But vodka’s not water
and I’m not a duck...
So slide me the bottle
and shut the(blank)up
For a really special look, drizzle hershey’s syrup lightly around the sides and bottom of the glass before pouring the martini.
Ok you all are suggesting the mix but you must remember what kind of vodka do you use? Some are better and depends on what kind of flavor you are looking for
I feel the Absolute brand is one of those that you can mix with anything and reasonably priced for parties.
Kettle One and Sky are also good choices for fancier gatherings however, I discovered a swedish Vodka called Svedka that combines all of the elements of the 2 vodkas mentioned above and it’s very reasonably price.
SVEDKA Vodka is great because no matter how much I drink, I don’t get a hangover. Just like red wines. When I do drink them I stick to pinot noirs.
Gina,
I will have to try that SVDEDKA vodka...my fav is SKYY, smooth and no hangover as well.
yummy ~ here’s a vodka recipe for ya’ll..... I haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds good.
Pudding Shots
1 cup milk
1/2 cup Irish cream liqueur (eg. Bailey’s®)
1/2 cup vodka (eg. Smirnoff®)
1 (4 serving size) package instant chocolate pudding mix
DIRECTIONS
Whisk together the milk, Irish cream liqueur, vodka, and instant pudding mix in a bowl until combined. Continue whisking for 2 minutes.
Spoon the pudding mixture into shot glasses or disposable ‘party shot’ cups. Chill until set, about 30 minutes. The shots will have the consistency of mousse.
