Q & A

Do any of you have a friend that “OVER FRIEND‘S” you?  I have a friend that is single and is relentless.  While their intentions are always good sometimes I feel like they are smothering me.  Every time I look up she’s there, calling, popping up all times of the day and night.  She drives my family crazy, my bird and even my dog hides when she comes over.  I’ve tried dropping hints, flat out telling her politely but she’s like the guy in the horror movies she keeps coming back!  Any suggestions?

    • I had a friend that I was trying to distance myself from. I was really wanting to end the friendship but didn’t have the nerve to do so. I thought that if I was never available to talk it would all just go away. We live in different states.

Well, I received a phone call from her one day saying she’d bought a plane ticket and she was coming to visit me! I was horrified. It was the most miserable 10 days I’d had in years.

Moral of the story, I should have been honest with her about the status of our friendship

    • I had a friend like that for two years . I step away from the friendship. She was upset at me, came down to my house screaming an yelling at me in front of my kids. Then tried to bad mouth me to other women. The other women stood up to her. I look back and I had nothing in common  with her. I guess I just need to learn the word no.
