    • The last year I was at home. I had a party that night, to go to. My dad pulled me to the side and said remember you are my only 18 yearold daughter and I want you home tonight!
Since my dad is reserved with his emotions that night will stick with me always. My dad told me how important I was to him in his words! I can not tell you any of my gifts I got, except the truest gift of love I received that night!

    • Mine was when I was 13. We had a HUGE snowstorm in NY so school closed down. A bunch of my friends who lived nearby came over and we did all the outdoor snow fun stuff, but then it got to bad for anyone to leave. My grandmother had us all come in, she cooked a big birthday meal and basically I got to enjoy my friends all day.

    • My favorite memory is my 12 year old slumber party.  I had about 10 girls over and my parents grilled T-Bone steaks for us. We stayed up all night and acted silly in the basement...good times.

My funniest memory is when I turned 21 and went out drinking with my older sister and brother.  I was drinking 151 Rum and did not understand the power of that...lol well my brother was introducing us to one of the BarKays (remember them?) and he was like this is my older sister and as he started to introduce me I fell straight up the steps and landed on my face and was cracking up, he goes, and that is my little sister!

    • Last year my fiancĂ© took me away for a weekend and did not disclose our destination. We ended up in Charlestown SC. He took me to dinner and then on a horse drawn buggy ride thru the town and later he got down on his knee and proposed... a Truly Romantic experience!!!

    • I remember my 18th.  My little brother was 16 and since his birthday is 3 weeks before mine, we had a party together in between the two dates.  It was a dark stormy night and only a few friends showed up and we ended up eating leftover cake for days and days and days.  The night of my actual birthday I took brother and several of his friends to the drive-in movie.  A double feature.  Road Warrior or something like it was playing and some movie with Arnold in it.  I don’t know, I slept thru most of both movies.

My 40th was nice.  My husband and children did NOTHING for me which wasn’t so nice.  But I had a mail box full of cards from cousins and friends.  One friend mailed me a box of balloons.  My co-workers had banners up when I got to work.  One lady in the community, when she found out it was my birhtday brought me a flower out of her garden.  Everyone was just super nice that day.  Made up for my stupid family.
