    • I have called the local shelter and asked them what things that they need the most.  They told me now that they have families showing up with children they need diapers, Pull-ups, Baby Wipes, Baby Formula, gently used baby/toddler clothes, coats, blankets. Volunteers to serve food, hand out blankets, spend time with the kids (read or play games).

Our family is struggling also, but I do have gently used blankets and coats I packed up in a box.  I signed our family up to serve a meal this weekend and then read and play games with the kids.  I had some extra money on a Christmas gift card that I was saving for an emergency...I went to the store and bought diapers and Pull-ups and dropped them off at the shelter.  It is not much...but it is something.

    • I believe there is always something we can all do. I, like thousands of other people, lost a great job AND a car in Sep. If you walked into my house right now, you very well might think to yourself, “WOW- this is a really nice place, Jen. How come there’s not much IN it?” We have everything we need. Due to changes over the past year, I had to start over and the job loss was a huge BANG to add to it. However, even if it’s donating time, clothes, dishes, this or that. Someone needs it.
Ideas- photoshoots (selling the work downtown - history of this city sells like crazy) & donating percentages.
      Percentage from MK sales.
Getting a charity organized through fab40.
Donating time. SOMETHING. There’s always something we can do.
