    • I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my mother 4 years ago and it was a life changing event for me.  Make sure that you can get some decent sleep. You may also want to consider some massage or Reiki for yourself.  Time will help, but show good care for yourself. The days to come will bring peace and some comfort. :)

    • You need rest.  Drink a lot of water.  How’s your appetite?  If you have no appetite, eat whatever that entice you for now.
If you have appetite, choice nutrition vs. junk.

    • Leeann...I did not know your mother had passed away.  Please accept my condolences. All I can think of is that picture you posted of her at the Starbucks drive thru.  What a great memory.

Right now...just drink plenty and eat what you can. Try to eat something...might not be a lot...but just eat.  You have been taking care of her for a very long time and then all of a sudden you are not.  YOur body has to adjust to it all.  Give yourself plenty of time to just recuperate.  And get plenty of rest.  Allow yourself to rest and catch up. And when you can take walks or get some exercise...that gets those endorphins moving in your brain. Take one day at a time.

    • Hi, Leeann
I’m so sorry for your loss.  I’ve not been through the loss of a parent.  I can only imagine you are emotional drained and probably just plain tired.  You probably need something comforting like your favorite soup or some home style cooking.  It’s probably best to stay away from the sweets and eat protein and vegetables so you don’t have the highs and lows from the simple carbohydrates.

    • Hi Leeann.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I’m very sorry for your loss.

Healthy comforting meals, maybe get yourself some protein bars, eat bananas for potassium, veggies/fruit, take some vitamins.

Maybe a quick trip to the store to stock up on your favorite healthy foods, or give someone a list to pick up some things for you.

Try to rest sufficiently, take hot baths & be good to yourself during this time. I wish there was something I could do.

    • LeeAnn, I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother. There are no words to tell you how deep felt my heart feels for your pain and loss. I am, and I know others are here for you if you need to talk about your feelings or just talk about the memories with her.

The best advice I can give for anyone who has lost a loved one is to keep your mind and body busy with other thoughts in your continued life without her. Do not feel guilty for laughing and bringing joys into your life. We must continue on and they would want us to feel that joy and happiness.

      I am here for You!

      Much Love!
