What kind of workout do you do and does it give you good results?
Hi Maverick!
When I was 26-30, I used to work out for 3 hours a day! I was in great shape, looked like a body builder! Unfortunately, I ruined my knees and I can no longer run or work out as I would like to. I find if I watch what I eat and do at least 20 minutes of no-impact aerobic exercise 5 days a week, I’m good. Oh, and I HAVE to have weight-training, it is so important so the muscles won’t sag-I just don’t lift as much weight these days.
Have a great evening!
“one”
Wow! That’s a pretty good regimen. I used to lift a lot of weights in the early days and had 6-pack abs until I turned 35! All gone! I am still somewhat slender, however, I do have a problem area around my waistline and tummy. I NEVER had a problem there before, but now I do. Darn!!
I also work out about 5 days a week, but my mid-section kills me! I think I’m just gonna do more weights like I used to.
You girls are making me feel bad!
Blessings,

Onevision,
Can you do pushups? I’m so upset ‘cause I’ve been working out for over 20 years and I am only able to do 1 pushup. That sucks!
Coachmombabe,
Don’t feel bad, no matter how much I work out—I am soft in the middle. Ick!!!
I’m still struggling to add the second session of yoga! You girls are amazing!

Thanks Beachbum—You just put me to shame.
My diet is pretty good, but I do drink a glass of wine a day. Dark chocolate is my weakness, so yes it is pretty much diet.
. . . oh well
We bought a water rower. I’m not very good at doing the gym thing and for less than a year at the gym, my rower is in my house. I can work out any time of the day or night and do it in my jammies. It’s a full body workout and has less impact on my weak knees and back than anything else I’ve ever done, save swimming. When I finally buy a house, it’ll have a pool one way or another and then my workout will be complete. As I have chronic pain (some call Fibromyalgia), exercise is essential but is also very very hard.
